  Bronx, New York based 2D animator and concept artist, Estefany Mendez is a self taught Digital artist, educated in a specialized high school for visual arts. Her art journey began in first grade when she was aware that colors are not just flat, she experimented with shadows and highlights. Then learning the color wheel on her own. Drawing with just a pen and paper whenever she could , her drive continued in her highschool journey where she picked up digital art. Later on she went on in her education for culinary arts where she learned how to be organized in a timely manner, be a team member, as well as team leader, all while working under extreme pressure and deadlines. She would later change paths to become a real estate agent and soon own her company while simultaneously honing her artistic skills on the side. She would soon learn to talk to customers and learn how to be responsible, organized and attentive to detail. After a year she decided to take on her passion in art,  learning different techniques, dynamics,  and colors. Her dream is to bring a story of self discovery, resurfacing her childhood passion to tell her story of struggles with mental health, family drama and being the oldest of 10 brothers and sisters. Ultimately exemplifying strength by choosing this path of a childhood dream, never giving up no matter what obstacles came her way. Her story continues now with a new beginning, still learning as much as she can.
